About Isabella Yu - Joy Fountain

Born into a deeply musical family, Isabella Yu’s love for music began in childhood. Her father was an amateur conductor of a small regional band, and all of her siblings grew up playing musical instruments with skill and passion. Surrounded by music from a young age, Isabella developed a lifelong appreciation for melody, composition, and creative expression.

Although producing songs is a more recent achievement, Isabella has been writing creatively since childhood — first in Chinese and later in English. Her love for literature and expression eventually led to the publication of two poetry books, reflecting her thoughtful and heartfelt style of writing.

A devoted Christian with a deep love for God, Isabella has dedicated much of her life to writing songs of praise and worship. While raising a family and working professionally as an Occupational Therapist until her recent retirement, she continued to nurture her passion for music, faith, and creative writing.

Alongside her formal studies in classical music and composition, Isabella also pursued much self-education throughout the years, continually learning through personal study, life experiences, and spiritual inspiration from God.

Her experiences and interests have been diverse — serving as a church pianist and song leader, travelling the world, and enjoying social dancing — yet her greatest joy has always been writing songs for Jesus.

Many of these songs were written and treasured over many years, while new works continue to emerge through prayer, worship, and devotion. Only recently have these songs had the opportunity to be produced and shared more widely with listeners. Her songs are written as offerings of praise, devotion, comfort and hope.

Mission

Through her music, Isabella hopes listeners will be uplifted, inspired, and touched by the love, faithfulness, and the goodness of God.

Through worship music, Isabella Yu-Joy Fountain seeks to glorify god, encourage hearts, and draw listeners into deeper reflection on God's love, grace and presence.
